The Silver Beaver Award is the highest distinguished service recognition a Council can bestow upon an adult volunteer. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made a significant impact on the lives of youth through service given within the Pine Tree Council. The Silver Beaver is an award bestowed on those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service.
We are now accepting nominations for the 2024 class of Silver Beaver recipients.
Nominations should be made on the official Silver Beaver Nomination Form and may contain additional letters of support either included with the submitted nomination (preferred) or separately sent to the Chair. Nomination forms must be completed with as much detail as possible to provide the selection committee with a clear justification for the selection of the candidate for this recognition. Posthumous and self-nominations are not allowed.
Nominations are due by November 15, 2024, and should be sent to Silver Beaver Selection Committee Chair Scott Valcourt. Questions on the nomination process or to inquire about a potential candidate for nomination should also contact Scott Valcourt.
The Class of 2024 Silver Beaver recipients will be honored with a special Silver Beaver Recognition Banquet early in the 2025 Scouting year.
Please consult the guidance offered in the 2024 Nomination Procedures document to nominate our fellow Scouting volunteers with the Pine Tree Council’s highest recognition for youth volunteerism—the Silver Beaver.
